MEN’S SPIRITUAL RETREAT – BIG BEAR, CALIFORNIA

Join the Brotherhood of Penitents of St. Dismas for a powerful weekend of prayer, reflection, and authentic Catholic brotherhood in the peaceful mountains of Big Bear.

This retreat is an opportunity for men to step away from the distractions and demands of everyday life and spend intentional time strengthening their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Throughout the weekend, participants will take part in inspiring spiritual talks, Holy Mass, Confession, prayer, and meaningful fellowship with other men seeking to grow in faith, virtue, and holiness.

 

Whether you are looking to renew your spiritual life, deepen your understanding of the Catholic faith, or simply spend meaningful time with God, this retreat offers an opportunity to return to what matters most.

FR. ALCUIN FRIESEN, O.PRAEM.

Fr. Alcuin Friesen, O.Praem., is a Norbertine priest serving at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Costa Mesa, California. As a member of the Norbertine community, Fr. Alcuin brings the Church’s rich spiritual and sacramental tradition to his priestly ministry. Through his preaching and pastoral work, he encourages the faithful to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and to pursue a life rooted in prayer, grace, and the Sacraments.

FR. ROBERT MCGOWAN

Fr. Robert McGowan serves as Parochial Vicar at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Long Beach, California. Through his priestly ministry, Fr. Robert serves the faithful through the celebration of the Sacraments, preaching, spiritual guidance, and parish life. His presentation at the retreat will encourage men to reflect more deeply on repentance, prayer, conversion, and living an authentic life of faith.

DEACON DISMAS FARFAN, O.PRAEM.

Deacon Dismas Farfan, O.Praem., is a member of the Norbertine community at St. Michael’s Abbey in Silverado, California. Formed within the Abbey’s tradition of prayer, community life, and service to the Church, Deacon Dismas brings a strong commitment to Catholic teaching and the spiritual formation of men. His retreat presentation will encourage participants to reflect on God’s commandments and the call to live lives of virtue, obedience, and faithful discipleship.
